When the ground thaws in the spring, we plan to continue our animal shelter rebuild. This will be the rebuild of section three of the four sections needing rebuilt. I normally start buying supplies as I can afford them, mid-winter and storing them in the hay barn where the hay has now been given out and empty. When we moved here in 2004, very old shelters were standing. The seller asked me if I'd like him to knock the old buildings down before moving in. I said no, I would need them. But now, almost 20 years later, they have served a purpose, and the section we plan to rebuild this spring has actually become dangerous enough that I blocked it off from animals using it for shelter. It was our donkey, Aunt Maggie's favorite place to get out of the weather in both the winter and a favorite place to find shade in the summer. I also use that section for hay, and then feed that hay out first so Maggie has her special spot back. If you'd like to help us rebuild this section of the barn, I will be buying treated 4x4 wood posts, 6 x 4 treated posts, treated 2x4s, treated 2x6s, screws, metal plates, and hangers and tin. It will be a smaller build than last summer, yey! We shop at Home Depot for animal shelter supplies. If you do feel led to help, please let me know via messenger or text (307-655-9176) so a Home Depot e-gift card doesn't get missed if it goes to my junk mail. Thanks so much for caring about us and the animals.

If you'd like to donate or give to our farm, first, on behalf of the animals, thank you for your kindness. We do have many rescue animals ranging from alpacas, cats, a goose. macaws to our mustang Lexi who will live out their lives here. Our biggest expense as you may have guessed is the ongoing feed bill. In addition to buying 15 tons of quality hay each year, our trips to town for bagged feed such as pellets, dogfood, treats, etc. is a year round expense. We mainly shop at Shiptons and Tractor Supply. Tractor Supply has gift cards and I'll link to them below.
